I'm sitting here looking at the 100 best signs at the "Rally to Restore Sanity" put on by "Comedy Central" first of all I didn't watch the coverage on the television and have ignored reading links posted all day long on twitter. But let me say first and foremost that I am offended. It takes a lot to offend me.  The fact that people on the news can go on and on and on and on about someone saying something that might offend a Muslim or calling someone a Bitch, Retard or any other slur they can think of or, God Forbid someone says the "N" word, and I might add if you go on twitter and do a search for SAID word you will find people of color using it profusely with each other (and that is offensive too).   Yet, no one will say that.  Hypocrites....  (we are all guilty right?) 

Tea Bagger

1) A male engages in the sexual act of tea bagging. in which he stands over his partner and lowers his testicles into his partner's mouth, as if lowering a tea bag into a tea cup.

Now, there were THOUSANDS of people at this rally, there is no media issue with shouting this term on the news in the daytime hours in front of children. 

I have to say..it offends me.  

I believe in the Tea Party movement. I believe in its origins... So you irrational uneducated ones, you bleeding hearts who want to save the world; who only watch comedy central and read the Huffington Post listen to me now... 

TEA  means TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY.  Finding its origins in the original movement... The Boston Tea Party which happened after the Stamp Act was passed.   But enough with historical origins.  The Tea Party movement is a conservative movement for less government but it is not a pure "Democratic" movement.   It is a reactionary movement against outrageous government.  A bloated, unresponsive government who is turning its back on WE THE PEOPLE.  A government that ignores and won't  listen to the people.  A government that pats itself on the back, while the people cry out in despair.   While you, (oh ignorant ones) are wanting something from the Government too. You want the government to step in and care for you, you want the government to make life easy and happy for everyone.  You want the government to give cell phones and nachos  to the poor who won't  care for themselves, you want lollipops and rainbows.   You bleeding hearts do not understand that a handout is not the way out of poverty.   You don't understand what it is like to be poor.  

Liberals.. I want you to know that the "Tea party " movement who cries out Socialist has a very good reason to do so.  You see, unlike you who trust blindly in the Government we listen to the vocabulary they use, the rhetoric they spout.  We hear the soundbites like "Collective Salvation" and any person raised in the Soviet Union would cover their face and cry, any person who watched the Berlin Wall Come Down, who watched the peaceful Revolutions of 1989 are crying for America. Somehow there are things happening in this great nation that reminds me of Tienanmen Square in China...  where people speaking out were squelched by the state.  

While we spent many years trying to protect people from the "evils" of corporate America, corporate America was fleeing the country, fleeing the oppressive boot in the face regulations.  To produce in third world nations.  What is frightening is without production what do we have?  We  have nothing... we have a society of users, of moochers.    

People who once dreamed of America are watching us take a turn to our potential demise....  "Collectivism" is a term that was coined by the Socialists in the 1880s, it was used as a Utopian dream...While the good in people longs for a Utopian, human nature will always prevent it.  You can take from the producers for only so long.  The idealism of you lovers of lollipops and unicorns will fall by the wayside of the harsh reality of individualism.  As Ayn Rand said, a strong, rational being will never be enslaved. We will martyr our selves and our intelligence before we will become slaves to the incompetent ones.   

Collectivism is starkly opposed to Individualism.  So, why you will cry out to be unique (like everyone else) and tell people that you are an Individual; living and breathing the air and the freedom you feel you have the right to.  Realize that Collective Salvation will be our downfall.  I am not my brothers keeper.  When I hear pundits arguing that the Constitution, is not a living breathing document, it shakes me to my core, that there are people who would discount such a great document.   

There is no political statement stronger than a boot in the face.  Well, right now the Federal Government has its boot in the face of the American people.   We have a President who  is not even trying to Unite the people. He is the Great Divider.  I had a sense of optimism and yes, hope when he came into office.  But, he has left a sour taste in my mouth.  I hoped that the "racism" card wouldn't be played, but it has been played more.  If I don't believe in his policy I am deemed a racist.  If I don't believe in their rhetoric I am called a racist. If I am against a massive expansion of the welfare state I am a "racist"   If I call people using vocabulary with the word "collective" in it and calling it like the Websters Dictionary and Encyclopedia sees it...  "Socialist" I am called a racist.   But, my Grandfather  was an Indian, his skin was not white. Yet, I am a racist.   

I am an Individual. I watched Bill Maher insult me because I am a woman who supports the Tea Party movement.  I am called "Stupid" or "Ignorant" or uneducated, while I have been educated in History by some of the best and the brightest.  I have studied Russia and the Soviet Union at a greater depth than most Americans.  I read, I have read Rand's Atlas Shrugged. It draws eye opening parallels to our society, while being a scathing reaction to the Soviet Union of the 1920s. 

I used to believe that we are Rome, with our bread and circuses....  But, now I fear we are becoming Russia with Lenin at the Helm, while Lenin... soon passed on and Russia was left with Stalin.  

We are not Weimar Germany, we are not the French Prior to the Revolution.....  We are Russia in 1905.  But we  have hope.  I am not religious...but I believe that more of America should quit playing rock bands in church and building youth centers and  should read the red letter portion of the Bible.   Who is John Galt?

A Health Care Rant

Health Care Bill Passes; its my duty to pass this along to anyone who isn't from the USA who reads my blog.  Now,  I am against this bill.  I should be in bed, I have to be up in six friggin' hours.  But, I'm now distracted by politics.   

We are a nation deeply in debt....  we are a nation in trouble.  Yet, we pass a huge entitlement program.   Not that our health industry is not in a huge mess.  I don't know what the answer is but if I were a law maker instead of proposing insurance I would have proposed a series of public health service hospitals.  Not insurance.  I hate the insurance industry, yes its to transfer risk (blah, blah, blah) I'm not stupid I know this.  It is about fear, we sell people premiums to counteract their fear of loss.  Because no one can suck it up and take a loss we are a nation of wussy crybabies and we have to constantly have insurance (except those poor who live on the edge because they have to suck up the risk and can't afford industry).  

Now, dare I say it we need tort reform...  haven't you seen the commercials on TV about Tardive Diskonesia (ummmm..surely I'm spelling that incorrectly).   The lawyers are as bad as that foghorn-leghorn Billy Mays (may he RIP)  trying to pull together huge class action malpractice suits. 

We are a nation with one of the highest rates of prescription psychotropic drugs, you cannot say that some people are not receiving healthcare somewhere? I don't understand how we can have more people on Prozac or any number of anti-depressants and yet have  a serious health care shortage.  The costs are insane, but of course we must get them under control because half the country is upside down in their home loans while they pay on those shiny granite counter tops for thirty years.   

We are so regulated, I know people who go to Mexico for health care or at least to get antibiotics over the counter.  We must regulate everything.  Its the overhead that will kill us, its the paperwork.  Look at how well the government runs special education (no maybe you don't want to go there because in six hours I will go there).   Its cheaper to take your dog to the Vet and get them medicine than people. Animals get better health care in some places at way cheaper rates. 

We are a fat nation, we are unhealthy.  Why are we unhealthy?  Our society needs to start looking at the causes, but we want to treat the effects.  We sit on our asses on the computer, drinking soda and eating like we were the hunters and gatherers of our primitive past -  sedentary, lazy....and we're depressed because we're fat so we need a pill for that.   I am skeptical.  I think we are treating the effect and not the cause.  

But to treat the cause, the telescreen will have to be on the wall and we'll get up to our forced aerobics and Big Brother will move in and start regulating us...after all we can not choose for ourselves.  

We think if we all have that magic health insurance card we will walk into the Doctors office and all of our problems will be cured.   I know that card helps.  My brother was turned away for Kidney stone treatment a year ago without insurance.  I know that we have health insurance but rarely use it (I use IHS which is a whole other story) -  because the copays and the threat of denials of this managed care age makes us hesitant to seek medical attention.   I use Indian Health Care and I promise the Choctaw Nation has one of the best hospitals in the state.  I think it is amazing, I think it is what the government should have looked at versus regulating insurance.   Insurance is the problem not the solution.   I'm just a insurance hater.....

I'm not saying we don't need a change but their solution, is not a solution it is a problem.  If we do not think that our nation cannot fall to the pendulum of history, like Rome... or fall to the cries of revolution...  our politicians are sadly mistaken....  It is scary time, but I don't believe there is critical mass in this country to the "I will not comply movement"  -  The irony is, as a Native American, I am exempt from the compliance factor.   I can't even show civil disobedience.  

It is midnight, it seems my Spring Break has come to an ending and I'm not sleepy.... but tomorrow morning will sneak up on me.....  Ah, more ranting and venting to come.   I'm sure this wasn't as coherent as I'd like it to be, but hey  Alcee Hastings a Democratic representative from Texas I believe said "There ain't no rules" in congress...and my Darling Nancy Girl said that "we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it".... Common Sense... isn't that what our founding fathers wanted?  Common Sense is dead.     

Spring Snow in Oklahoma

I have to admit today feels more like Christmas vacation than spring break.  Propane was delivered on the first day of spring.   Certainly something I have never experienced in all the years I've lived in Oklahoma.   What a winter, I'm ready for a nice, hot summer.   I love living in the country...see this is what I see when I walk out my door...  my neighbor to the east is over a mile away.

Its 4 pm now and its still snowing.  I went out for a few minutes but the wind picked up and then the propane truck arrived and proceeded to get stuck in my front yard.   Snow was pretty during the Christmas Eve Blizzard....  but as the winter continued, it just lost its appeal.   This winter is  a novelty though.    

  

Red River Flooding (again)

Red River Flooding; of course  continued prayers for the people of North Dakota and Minnesota who are again looking at looming flood waters.  Here is a shot of the raging Red River of the North (me, being used to the Red River of the Oklahoma /Texas border...which, is actually red in color).   This photo was taken in July of 2008, I had the opportunity to spend the summer in the beautiful town of Fargo.  Such a nice town I hope everyone continues to keep them in their prayers as the thaw continues.  The photo in the middle is of the downtown Fargo area.  The bottom photo is one of the Red River in Winnipeg.

HUNGRY Woman  *yeah, article of the day.....  Now, back to the health care debate, laundry and playing with my brown hair.   I'm supposed to be getting ready to run into town, which I'm slowly doing.  

Wind Farms...Just Too Darn Risky

There is a wind-farm in the Wichita Mountains, not far from Fort Sill.  Interesting...Perhaps we just need to bring back the buffalo so we can burn their chips.  Wind Farms Disrupt Radar

So wind farms are just too darn risky....  we had better watch it.  I kind of think they are ugly in places where they weren't especially near a national park.   I personally don't like them on the horizon but I don't  like dams on the rivers either, I think they destroy the environment.  So yeah, I'm a conservative environmentalist (quasi-environmentalist) I must be more of a naturalist.   But, as much as conservatives can spout about how they want to continue to drive their SUV's and "climate change" complete with the quotation marks....errrr "finger quotations" if you get my meaning... I think they don't think about AIR POLLUTION, and if you've ever been in a big city, note the only animals that its filled with are those of the human variety (yes we are animals... we are all members of the species known as the naked ape).   So, yeah,  we need to clean up our air...  but apparently wind farms are risky now.

Nancy Pelosi Quote of the Year

“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."  Pelosi on Health Care.  I was somewhat listening to Glenn Beck and they played that little sound bite, and I about fell out of my quasi computer chair/stool.  Wait, rewind... what did Nancy Goat say (Nancy Pelosi reminds me of a sour old goat).   I really don't like the lady speaker of the house.  When you would think that I'd rejoice being a woman seeing another woman have power, but honestly I don't like her or trust her.  I like President Obama a lot  more than I like Nancy.   I can't even be respectful when I write about the wicked witch of the west.    

So lets look at this little quote again (she says as she listens to Train's Soul Sister - I love this song) OK here goes: 'We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it...'  What?  What?  We have to pass a huge spending bill to fundamentally change the way Americans deal with health care... to find out what is in it.  WTF is your problem lady?   Talk about increasing my confidence in the government, we have to pass legislation to see what it does when enacted, talk about a bad social experiment.   She is CRAZY and she just admitted in her speech.  Did she think saying that would not go un-noticed?  Insane.  I can't even think of an adequate response to the insanity of that little gem of a quote.  I think she's crazy.  

So, lets have the government take over health care.  I use the Indian Hospital for my kids, for the most part the health care is great, no complaints.  But try getting into a specialist.  Yeah, we have to fight to see the cardiologist and have private insurance to top it off.  Ineffective.  Government or Managed care is all about cutting costs.   I don't know what the answer is.  I think part of the problem is the American Mindset towards health and life in general.   We think we are invincible and everyone deserves the best.  Not bad in theory but the economic reality is we all won't get our cancer treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston or the Mayo Clinic.   Our attitude is that the medical profession will fix all of our problems from socio-emotional to medical.  

As soon as this bill passes... the government will be in the business of health.  Hold your sugar,salt and butter closely - as we sign away our freedoms to find out what is in this massive bill.  Oh, and don't worry about the integrity of our universities and great halls of academia, that will soon be watered down with more governmental control as they take over the student loan business.   It is a scary day.   

Seriously though, can you believe she said that?  I mean its like - totally OMG.    

On Repeat

Listening to that song "Soul Sister" on repeat on my iPod until I get sick of it. Isn't that nice when you find a song that you want to listen to over and over and over and over and over again.... I do that.  Bad habit, but If I LOVE a song, I love it and I'm hooked.   Well this Train song is awesome, happy lyrics, happy song.   Makes me happy.  I am fully intending to make myself hate it - by overkill. I'm going on 45 minutes of looping it now.  Did you know I have a bit of an obsessive compulsive - ADHD side.   LOL!    Good mood today, maybe that week off helps. I'm ready for spring, I'm ready for summer, I'm ready to feel good again.  This emotionally crazy bullshit isn't working!!!!  

My Mom and Hub and everyone are slowly beginning to be more normal.  I told them if they piss me off too much I'll go get me a job on the Rez and move off to New Mexico or Arizona where the sun is always shining and take whomever wants to go live with me.   I mean it.  Not even remotely joking....  :-D  I love the Southwest.....I'm tempted... so tempted....  I miss New Mexico.     

So I'm reading the news right now (yeah thats what cool people do on Friday evenings- we read the news, and the rest of you losers need to get with what us hip people do on Friday nights, we read "The NY TImes" the "Washington Post" "The WSJ" "News OK" oh and of course "Reason.com", etc... 

So in the Post some teacher told her student that she was dressed like a whore and some other teacher according to yahoo news wrote loser on a kids  paper..   COME ON DUMB ASS teachers....  I teach kids who have emotional disturbances who say inappropriate things and I TEACH them to keep those voices INSIDE Of their heads, we live in the "land of the law suits" and political correctness gone wild land.  Even if you think your student dresses like a lady of the night- don't tell them. Thats when you send them to the office for dress code violations... no boobs no butts... no pants on the ground... thats how it works at my school.   Perhaps they are only dressing like their Mothers.... HA!   And, seriously....  I work with some teachers who wear knee high boots with leggings, and short skirts, now if that doesn't cry hooker I don't know what does?   OH and I might add,  geesh, you know how many of these kids get cut down all the time at home or by their peers do teachers need to add to their complexes.

Now, I'm sure some of it is unintentional, I imagine some people get too "relaxed" around their students and forget that they are in a position of power and might bring the wrath of angry parents down upon them.   But seriously dude, why would you write loser on a kids paper....  its ok to think whatever you'd like but don't write anything down. Idiot.  Sometimes I wonder how these people pass teacher certification exams and all the silly hoops you have to jump through for that certificate.   

Hmmm...and I want to put a plug here for my strong dislike of Nancy Pelosi,  she is an evil, snarky, woman... DISLIKE.   Can Nancy Pelosi Get The Votes  <---she is not my soul sister, lol..  OK back to being cool and reading the news...  SO glad its spring break.  So glad I feel good tonight.
